2025 Competition Dates
The 2025 Australian Geography Competition will be held in schools from Wednesday 7 May to Wednesday 21 May.
2024 International Geography Olympiad
Australia’s team of four geography students achieved an outstanding second place at the International Geography Olympiad (iGeo) held in Maynooth and Dublin, Ireland, from 19
2024 Prize Winners
Congratulations to the students and schools who excelled in the 2022 Competition, winning prizes in recognition of their achievements.
2023 International Geography Olympiad
The Australian team achieved fifth place at the 2023 International Geography Olympiad.
Students from 45 countries took part in the 2023 International Geography Olympiad from 8-14 August, held in person for the first time since 2019.
A contest for Australian secondary school students, assessing their geographical knowledge and skills.
The Competition aims to encourage student interest in geography and to reward student excellence.
